Does any one here have experience with say you cast a fresh bullet water dropped and then gas check it and it's tight. Ok take same water dropped bullet and wait a couple days and gas check it and the check is not as tight? And what do you think is acceptable as far as tightness. If a guy has to work at it to get one off with your finger nail is that to loose. Obviously if you can just pull it off it's too loose. I'm loading a 311299 in a 308 win and I have to seat the bullet just on or below the neck to make it the way I want. I don't want the check to fall off in the case.

If you continue having these problems, you might have to send the mold to buckshot and have him enlarge the shank a few thousandths. What kind of gc's are you using? Tell us what the dia of the gc shank is on one of your bullets.
