Anyone notice how the scrap value for lead is dropping? As of 2/13/12 it is about $0.94 per lb.

Interesting, silver and gold also down? Must be due to currency value changes. A lot of news out of Europe.

Best price I have seen today on shot $32.00 per 25# without shipping at Gameil (sp?)! Anyone know of lower priced source?

Lead is still dropping. As of 2:17PM Central time lead is 90.81 cents per pound. Hope it drops to 75 cent per lb so we can buy it for cheap.

Just called the local scrapyard. They'll sell me lead for .40 lb. Don't know what kind yet but worth checking out. May be back here selling some. LOL

Like all comodities, they go up & down daily. The scrap yards rarely change their pricing that way though, so good luck.

Exactly, as demand will always be the same for them. If demand doesn't drop why lower prices.:groner:

Local service and tire shop has 9, 5 gal buckets of WWs and is holding them for a better price. He's been holding them since the 70's and wont part with a single piece.
Guess he'll be buried with them. I hope the price drops another .10..
