I won't say where, when , or who.....but I got a chance to see a German luger in holster with extra mag. Made in 1913 and all matching. I expect it would clean up to 95% or better. Says 'Erfurt' on the top and was a bring back. The guy said his uncle took it off a Field Marshal.....

It is as nice of one as I have seen..... What is it worth?

Sounds like a very nice P'08. I had a model of 1914, dated 1915 in a 1939-dated holster. It had maybe 98% blue and 30% straw color with matching numbers. The holster was brown and contained a takedown tool and extra mag. The extra mag was filled with 1943 German military ammo that had gone green from corrosion. I took it to a gunshow maybe 15 years ago. A guy asked what I wanted for it, and I said $500. He nearly ripped his pocket off getting his wallet out.

The world of Lugers is a maze. I would guess your Luger would be worth between $1,000 and $1,500.

Everybody's Luger was taken off a German officer with a Field Marshal being the most common.

One of the premier Luger collectors and sellers is up in Galesburg. Do a search for Simpson, Ltd. and look at his online Lugers and prices.

SOG is selling 1 of a kind Luger's at 1400 to 1500---WW1 and WW2--- So if you can grab it at a good price snap it up---Like 1000 or less and those prices are for the C&R boys 14 to 1500.

I saw an artillery model yesterday that was in great shape. The owner said it would be over $3000...

Here you go! Check these guys out. Prepare to be amazed at what any type or condition of Luger is going for these days. Either non collector grade Lugers come in to these guys on a presold basis, or there is on such thing as a non collectible Luger anymore.

Lugers.

My Dad was a collector and had some of the finest in circulation back in the 60's and seventies, and the last ones went to his attorney for divorce fees.

Mom got the house, attorney got the Lugers, and he got squat... but he really had it coming..

Gee, and I can remember the ads in the Rifleman for $20 to get a hand picked speciman. Not that I'm all that old, mind you...
