P89 series Ruger Barrel Compatibility w/ Other P series

I apologize in advance if this is not the forum for this question.
I just bought a 30 luger barrel. I was told that it was from a P89 series Ruger. I was also told that it would fit the P85 series as well as other P series Rugers so long as it is in 9mm. I don't own any Ruger P series so I have no way of checking. I bought the barrel hoping I would be able to buy a P89 so I can try shooting the 30 luger in another pistol. I have a couple of 1920 Commercial Lugers in 7.65. I was told there no differences in barrel dimensions in Ruger P series from P85, P89 as well as P95 and this was a drop in.
