I just bought a pedersoli le page???

It came with 100 pedersoli balls labled .437
And 100 patches .007 thick

Where can I buy more balls?
Or a mould?

Hornady makes .433 and .451

I am new at this.

Thanks...

Those are georgeous.

I noticed they are very careful to conceal the prices.

I guess that means "Don't ask"/

Under $800, taxes in, comes in a kit.

Good deal I figure.

7 thou patch is pretty thin. Why not try a .433 with a 10 thou patch or .430 with a 12 thou patch?

I agree, the patch they sent is too thin. I'd go with the .430 and .012 patch. That is pillow ticking range.

Here you go: http://www.dixiegunworks.com/product_info.php?products_id=964

There's another model for $1200. I remember these being around 5 or 600 when they first hit the DGW catalog 20 some years ago.

By a kit I mean gun is complete.
Accesseries are balls and patches, ram and drop tube.

thanks for the info.

If you were casting for this gun or the ruger old army...

1) what mold would you use?
2) would you use pure lead? Or 30 to 1?

Pure lead would be best but a small amount of tin wouldn't hurt. Soot it with what you got and that will help you decide if you can go with a bigger ball or even need to go smaller. I'm with the others though. Go with a slightly smaller ball and thicker patch.

.457 for the Ruger Old Army. Pure lead. In the Ruger A little harder lead won't hurt anything but won't help either. Harder lead might cut the patch in the Pedersoli.
