I have been giving 2500 of these Hornady cups. What are they good for. What size 30 cal bullet can be made with these?

Can I size these down and use them for 22 jackets??

Thanks!!

they are for making 1/4 jacketed boolits more or less pistol stuff. answering your question yes you can draw them down to make.224s but it would take a bunch of draw dies and a pinch trim die. get a lead bullet die for that walnut hill of yours and make some 1/4 jacketed boolits for your pistola.

If you don't want them somebody else will. Nobody is currently making them at any level of a reasonable price. Put them up for sale - the last guy that had some did an auction.

So these would probly only work on a 30 cal pistol round? The closest I got to that is 38's and 357. Do you think somebody would be interested in trades for some 22 cal jackets? I just got a set of dies from RCE, and my walnut press should be shipping Friday. I plan on making bullets from 22LR brass, but I would also like make some copper jacketed rounds.

I bet you could draw them down in one pass to .222 and use "as is" for 22 cal or any caliber on up.

One pass might be optimistic but it is certainly possible to make them any size you want.

Do NOT draw them down, the cups are too thick
Sell them and buy some 22 Jackets

Probably the best answer right there.
