Hodgdon Titegroup Smokeless Powder

I was going to purchase some of this power to make some 9 mm reloads. Specifically the Lyman 356402 mold a 120 grain truncated cone. My question is how fine is this powder? I would like to keep away from some of the finer powders such as AA#5 because it causes binding in my Dillons powder measure. Any help would be appreciated.

Titegroup works great in my Dillon measure. I've got an 8 lb jug so I use it in as many pistol cartridges as I can. I've been using it for 9mm and 380 on my 550B and haven't had any issues. I don't have any AA 5 so I can't compare them. But Titegroup doesn't seem all that fine to me.

I'm curious if anybody uses it for cast rifle plinker loads and has any info about it. I don't know if I can ever use it up loading pistol rounds.

Ive used about 15 lbs of Tightgroup so far and have 2 more 8 lb jugs on the shelf. I use it for loads from 800 up to 1,100 fps in 380, 357 mag , 44 mag , 45 acp & 454 casull . its accurate & clean burning & econmical to use , in thoses calibers , in the 9mm i got better accuracy with other powders.

IME as far as the 9mm & ill through in 38 super , ive obtained the best accuracy with med or med fast burning powders like WSF , Power- Pistol , WAP , & HS6 with cast bullets with those 2 calibers.

I have no problems useing Tightgroup in my Dillon 550 !

It's not as fine as AA #5 but it does meter extremely well & a little goes a long way.

I have had great success with Titegroup in my 45acp, 5 grains, with a Lee 452-185-SWC. No leading, accurate to 40 yards(farthest i've benched a group) and not a monster recoil... I'm sold.

I've loaded over 20,000 rounds of 9mm in weights from 115 to 150 grains. Burns clean, meters like a dream and a little goes a loooooong way. Love the stuff :)

Titegroup works well in all my handguns for standard loads, not as good in the magnums. I am slowly using up my other handgun powders and won't replace most of them.

they list some loads for rifle 308 win 165gr bullet at 8gr if it works that would be some cheap shooting
Larry Gibson have you messed with it?
