I have said often CH4d has outstanding stuff, but their website looked like 8th generation xerox copies of catalogs from the 1950's.

Well, their website is updated and looks great. They are now offering the OWS Rock Crusher press! I have no need for one, but it's so cool...

Anyway...

Yes, it is a definite improvement over the old site.

If I'm not mistaken, it's use originally was the 20mm ammo.

They make dies in sizes up to 40mm. I took a tour of their factory in 2010 and have a pic somewhere of their sizing die for the 25mm Bushmaster cannon. It looks like a Thermos bottle. :holysheep

Dave, Bryon, and Beth are great people to deal with. I will add the Rock Crusher to my list for early 2013. I seen this press in the late 80s sizing 20mm Vulcan and Lahiti rounds. A truly impressive press to say the least. Been wanting one every since. Dave bought out OWS (Old Western Scrounger) for the press. I currently have a S.O. 327 Federal taper crimp die on order. He bought CH back in the 90s and finally the website is so much improved.

take care,

Beth is only in the office M-F from 1-3p EST. Leave a message if she isn't in, as emails don't always get answered.

Dave usually works night shift, if you need to talk to him personally.

Yes, he is there after 4p. Unfortunately, if he is downstairs in the machine shop, he can't hear the office phone upstairs.

Does anyone have any experience with the CH4D Power Case Trimmer PT-100 (http://www.ch4d.com/catalog/trimmers/PCT-1000)?

I've used the Lyman crank for quite some time and upgraded to their Power Trimmer and could not recommend that trimmer. Mine can only handle very, very light trimming tasks without binding. I do not consider the Lyman power trimmer a "solid" piece of equipment. Started looking at others and the CH4D looks tough but I would like to hear some reports on it.

I have thought about the C&H power trimmer also so anyone that can answer Ranch Dogs question would be great.

I've been using the 444 H press for over 30 years and it's still going strong. I use it for all my small batch pistol loading and for all rifle. The new site is much better.

I bought the power trimmer a couple years ago to trim down 2k 50bmg cases to 50dtc. Would of thought the motor would be a little stronger. It would eat 30cal easy. It uses regular shell holders but you will need to buy his pilot bits. His dies are works of art... I can only imagine that beefy press to be a dream to size large brass...

Anybody have any experience with the primer pocket swaging tools? I'm considering buying this for my .223/5.56 brass so I can reload it.

I have it and have used it. It works, but I find with my mixed range pick-up brass that one adjustment does not work for all manufacturers' products. Therefore, I now ream the swage off using a deburring tool. I use the Hornady Trio (which I find very handy). When I come across a primer that has been swaged I ream it out and them uniform the pocket all in just a few seconds.
