I have a ver. 2.9 so will the new one do shotgun shells?

I have a rifled slug barrel coming into the country shortly and i would like to load full caliber slugs. No fillers, no wads just pure reloading for a cal.12 rifle.

I have Quickload ver. 3.4 and it will not do shotshells. Probably never will - too many unknowns involved. With the relative fast burning powders used in shotshells, e.g. just changing a collapsible plastic wad with a felt wad could raise pressures way high.

Quickload will let you design your own cartridges, but it takes some knowledge to get it right. I'm afraid you will run into all sorts of problems if trying to load full length shells without fillers or wads. Too much volume to fill - unless you use BP.

Shotgun shell size, rifle loadings.
Hubel458 can come up with unpteen numbers on cartridges i have never seen in ql, just made me wonder.

Well seems like i'm going to design my own cal.12 cartridge in QL.
