I just got back from the range after firing my first batch of Lee 158 grain tumble lub SWC. I used between 5.0 and 5.2 grain of Unique and the oal was 1.80. I fired them out of my Smith 13-3 3 inch revolver. Best grouping I ever had at the range..2 1/2. The load was nice and light so I am going to up it to 5.5 and that should be just fine for me. Thanks for all the info before starting out....it really helped me out ....cheers.

A great feeling isn't it? Did you get any leading?

I run the .357 with my cast boolits from wimp loads to max h110 loads.

I have a 13-2 with a 4" barrel. It is a nice piece but I am not a big fan of the fixed sights.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Best grouping I ever had at the range...

Makes you wonder why people buy commerical ammo. They have to make that **** so generic its not worth a damn.

Yep it really amazed me when I finished shooting that there was a big hole in the target and it did not look like I used a 410 judge. When I first started I tried to get near the oal but figured it out that better to be bigger than smaller. You are right about being able to find a load that you are comfortable with to shoot. Now that I know I will not blow myself up I can start fine tuning and get my super duper load. This brings a whole bunch of new fun to the sport. cheers

Good luck with the new loads. Let us know about the 5.5 loads, especially the accuracy.

I have a 13-2 4 inch with CT grips. I always shoot off a bench, in slow motion, and with powderpuff .357. I like it that way. That Unique does work well thou.
