Does anyone have a source for polymer ballistic tips? Not a bullet with a polymer tip, but the actual polymer tip.

I know of a guy who used to use "airsoft pellets" when swedging his jacketed hollow points.
The pellet (round) would just form to the inside of his die.
Presto! A cheap ballistic tip! And you can choose the color.

What is an airsoft pellet, and where do you get them. A few years ago, I used a BB in the hollow point of a 270 gr. .375 blt. Works great looks cool!

I swage my own and make some pretty bad A&* Bts .... Air soft makes very poor ones. they dont just squeeze into shape the end up looking pretty bad. and flying as bad as they look.
notice the tips that look good they arent air soft the ones that look like broken glass they are air soft.

So you left us with one huge question - what plastic did you use?

lol I could tell you then Id have ... The good ones are Ski Binding plugs. they fly great and terminal performance is fabulous too. there Is a way to make the air soft work but its more hassle than its worth. ..... heat them up.
