Here i have a dummy cartridge and a boolit from a six cavity ranchdog .367 TL- 100- RF mold. This is a sample mold and if results are positive and there is enough makarov shooters that desires it ranchdog will put it into production. Whatcha think?

I read about this a month or so ago and I really hope he puts it into production. I have the Lee roundnose and it does ok, but that looks much better. I've got two Maks and would like to try this design out. Any timeframe being discussed?

I'm not buying much of anything right now, but if my budget permitted, I would very much like to have that mold.

Wow....I would start reloading for my Makarovs again if I had that mold.

I wonder if it would work for a 'Cat Sneeze' load in a 9.3?

I've been resisting loading for this round but that mould might drive me over the edge.

I would like to reload for my Mak too and I have a zillon 9mm cases to cut down, but I haven't shot the thing enough to justify a 6 cav mould. maybe a 2 cav?

I know, the #1 rule of producing a product is someone always wants something different than what you make.

Randy, Miha makes one that has been done a couple of times. Two cavity is possible with his.

Wayne: I am looking at a .45 acp mould from him.

Does he have any stock you can order from? or do you have to wait for a group buy?

I emailed him a couple of times but never got a response.

I would think the guy would have figured out that people like his work and over run his production runs so people could buy a mould from stock. I doubt he would ever get stuck with any product and if there was some he could just put it up for sale here and it would be gone in a millisecond.

just a thought

He does do overruns and if he has any left they are on his website. I don't know if he has any of the 380/9mmMak molds, though. Remember, he's in Slovenia and I have no idea if he has any room for inventory.

Surprised we don't have more folks responding on this thread. I'm wondering if this would get more attention in the group buy discussion area ....

That looks like a round that will hurt when you hit something/one with it. I'd go for a three cavity mold. Six cavities are something I never had much luck with.

Hot diggity dog. Finally something in a .365 that can be sized. Money order is ready to go.

2 or 6 cavity sounds good. Let us know. I wouldn't mind the 6 cavity myself...

I did some testing and the bullet is a real winner in my East German makarov as far as accuracy and function, but the other gentleman that did the testing experienced poor results in his Russian makarov, but his results may have been due to a defective barrel. Ranchdog has since begun his own testing and he said he was going to make changes to the nose profile of the bullet. Here is a copy paste in the mans own words.

"The only thing I see that I will be doing to the bullet is changing the nose profile from the tanget to a secant ogive. The nose taper of the secant will be kinder, gentler in some pistols but I have not had a single FTF or FTE to this point. Of course, hammering away at max loads helps! I have been making this nose profile change to all my semi-auto bullets."

I don't have a clue as to when ranchdog may offer the mold for sale as he was also worried about getting stuck with stock on the shelves in the event a lack of interest occurred in the mold.

Well I have a Russian and an East German. If I could get my hands on a few bullets I'd be happy to function test them in both guns.

i might be interested ...maybe/not i found and deasined 2 makarov molds in the accurate molds catalog both are on , page 5 under 37 diameter in a 365 diameter 95 gr #37-095B, and a 100 gr next to it at #37-100J the 95 gr comes in at 100 gr and is a little short unless seated at the top of the lube groove ,and is very accurate ... im waiting on the 37-100J as i estimate it to be @ 103-105 gr and a perfect fit for my E. german makarov
