30-20 t/c

Anyone have some great loads they are willing to share for the 30-20 10 in. T/C? looking for something to shoot BB & FP. What would be a good powder to start with say using a 125 or 135 cast bullet with GC?:coffeecom

My goto load for the 32/20 was 15.0 AA1680 behind a 311410 130gr boolit.

I also have a 10" T/C 32/20 and now use only one load in it after testing many - 9.4 gr of 2400. Even with my old eyes and open sights, any coyote that stops long enough within 150 yards dies. It outshoots all of my other T/C handgun barrels and some carbine barrels with either the Lee 113gr RNFP-GC or the Lee 120 gr RN-GC. I have tried loads up to 1900 FPS but this barrel seems to like the 1450-1500 FPS given by the 2400. If I ever could learn to shoot with a handgun scope, who know how good it would be but if it ain't broke.....

FP = Field Pistol, RCBS 130 SP sized @ .310, 14.5 grs. AA1680, Fed. small rifle primers.
BB = Big Bore, RCBS 200 Silh. sized @ .310, 12.5 grs. AA1680, Fed. small rifle primers.

The velocity was about 1460 fps for the 200 gr. load from a 10" TC 32/20. The elevation at the shooting range was around 5,450 ft. above sea level, near Albuquerque, NM. These loads worked for me.
