I've read several posts on using (or not using) 9mm dies to reload .380. My question is just the opposite.

I understand a .380 sizing/decapping die CAN'T be used to size 9mm.

Is there any reason why I couldn't use a .380 expander to flare the 9mm case mouth, and the .380 seating die to seat a 9mm bullet by backing out the seater plug and/or TC with it??

Yeah, I'm cheap like that...:-?

Hornady's Seater is the same for .380 and 9mm. Expander should work fine. It's the same bullet.

So let me get this straight. I sold my only 9mm gun last summer and like a fool sold all my 9mm dies and about 500 pcs of brass.

My Dad and I both buy new pocket guns. He got a pocket 9mm and I bought a Sig P238 in .380. I bought me some new .380 dies. If I can find a used 9mm sizing/deprime die cheap, I can use the rest of my .380 dies to finish out 9mm?

PS - I'm cheap like that too. LOL!
