I have had excellent success with Kroil for many years. It will put a good stink on the surrounding area, but its a good stink, like Hoppes.

Shops in my area usually sell the small can for +/- $12.99 each.

Many moons ago Midway had a sale on Kroil in the small dispenser cans. I bought 3 and then on a trip to Nashville, I stopped in at the factory(really a relatively small place) and bought a gallon. I'm fixed for life. Just refill the small cans when they are empty.

One interesting thing about these cans. Kroil is described by the company as "The Oil That Creeps". They aren't kidding. Just setting on the shelf, it will creep out of the can. In that respect, the aerosol cans are neater.

Yeah, I just sprayed a bit into an empty saline bottle I had handy. That so far has worked out great for getting a lot of kroil onto whatever surface I wanted to get it on to.

My wife likes the smell of kroil much better than wd-40. Again, I am a lucky man.

I use Kroil a good bit....It will cause your screws to back out of a gun if you use it to clean them. This stuff will get everywhere!!!! Love it.

I buy mine by the gallon. Use it with ATF and MS to make my version of Ed's Red. Best bore cleaner I know of.

Kroil is fine, but if a guy wants to make a first good impression with the ladies, I suggest Tap Magic as a cologne.

My wife prefers I use Hoppe's No. 9, but Kroil is what I would wear for everyday business.
