I have just got my 6.5 Carcano rifle to shoot like a dream, useing the CBE .268-150gr bullet,GC and sized trough a.269 sizer, diped lubed with high velocity lube,BR2 primers and 23gr of ADI 2206H powder. Now its shooting so well I want to use it military rifle compitition, but the last 2 rounds in the clips stand up to much to feed without pushing down on the nose of the cartridge, this seems to be the case in every Carcano I have tryed(tryed diffrent clips, this did not fix the problem)as these were military rifles I can not see this being the norm, does any one know how to fix this problem

Cips bent out at the front from re-use? These clips were intended to be a one time use
thing, so they will bend over time. Make sure they are snug at the front.

No problems. I've been fiddling with them off and on since 1966.
