I just picked up a Tikka T3 lite in 3006. I went out shooting today with some Remingtonn 165gr corelocks. I was getting around 1 to 1.5 inch groups I know this rifle can do better so I just got some 150gr corelocks and was going to try them next trip . Does eny one have a pet load for there T3 that you wont to share?

Core-Lokts are great game bullets. 1.5 MOA still means 2.25" radial dispersion at 300 yards. That's certainly deer-capable.

I know it's min of deer. But I like getting allI can out of a rifle.

I just bought one of these in .308. Unfortunately one of the allen screws came out of the rings in transit and marred the stock. It's been sent back to the dealer. Currently waiting for the replacement. They are supposed to be very accurate factory rifles. I'm keen to get mine to the range when it arrives.

yes, I have a tikka t3 lite in .308 Win. It is a super-accurate rifle. I've yet to shoot it to its' full potential.

I'm still dialing in my hand-loads. After extensive testing, its' sweet spot is between 46.3-46.5 grains of Varget. 46.3 grains get me an average of 2780 FPS with a 1/2" 3-shot group @ 100 yds. I still have to test 46.4 and 46.5 grain rounds.

(LaPua Brass, Hornady 165 gr. SST bullets, and Win LR primers). The trick is spending a lot of time at the range :)

The Ruger “ American “ Model would seam to be a direct response to the recent popularity of the Tika Rifles.

I just picked one up this morning my self in 06, stainless with a Elite 3200 for a price that I couldn't refuse, doesn't appear to have been shot at all. Cleaned the barrel, pushing a tight fitting patch down the barrel it seems to have the smoothest feeling factory barrel I've seen in some time.
I've got some rounds loaded up for morning, off to the range.

I have had one for several years now and like it a lot. Remington factory ammo has never been noted for top accuracy at least I never had much luck with it. My favorite deer load is not a max load but it is a hornady bonded core 150 gr with 55 gr of Winchester 860 powder and a cci mag primer. This load is an accurate one for me,

Ive got one in 25-06 and it shoots about the same as yours with factory Core Lokt, but very well with handloads. Good looks, good trigger, smooth bolt, and I don't have to worry about using and wearing on it because mine only cost me $400.00. A great out of the box drag through the brush hunting rifle.

I bought a Tikka t3 hunter about 7 years ago. Topped it off with a Bushnell Elite 3200 scope and steal rings. It was hands down the smoothest most accurate rifle out of the box that I have ever owned. I tried several factory loads in it, but the ones it liked were made in North Africa (for the life of me I cant remember the name of the ammo) easily shooting 1/2" at 100 yards. I mean 20 shots made a ragged hole that you could cover with a nickle! The barrel and action are made by Sako and the bore is diamond lapped by the same folks (run a patch down the barrel and you'll see what I mean.) They only chinsed on the stock, but somehow kept it from interfering with that great barreled action. I wish I had not gotten rid of that rifle but I traded it for my boat and to be honest I have probably gotten a lot more enjoyment out of the boat, but that was a heck of a rifle, no doubt.

Mine is the heavy barreled 308 varminter model.

It took no time at all to get my handloads shooting bug-holes. I've taken several
long range coyotes with this rifle.

I wish I had more time to take it out in the field more often. You're going to love your
new Tikka T3.

I just picked up my T3 Lite in 308 today. The first one was sent with loose screws in the rings and left some ugly rub marks on the stock.

I used to have a model M55 years ago in 22/250, and it was an incredible rifle. Hands down the most accurate rifle I have ever owned. I don't know why it's taken me so long to buy another Tikka. Judging by the results many are having here I'm expecting great things from this rifle.

The stock fits me well, and points naturally, which I am also happy about.

My brother and I are buying a T3 lite for our nephew. What is the deal with scope rings for this rifle?
