.22 Hornet Blanks?!

A customer asked for a hunting style rifle as a prop for a film shoot. Sent them pictures of several, they really liked a CZ-527... OK.

Then they asked about blanks... OK, I can do that!

That was last week. Today they told me that I need blanks that feed from the magazine! NOT OK! without a bullet, rounds jam low instead of feeding into the chamber.

Anyone got a way to put a star crimp on a .22 neck??? I need this tommorow...

I figured out how to do it- And they stillwon't feed, I would need longer than standard cases, or to modify the magazine.

READ that script Bert ! I once had a film company come to me once wanting to "borrow" a Honda 750 from my dealership for a shoot in Boston. I had the presence of mind to read the script, and declined when I found that they intended to send it airborne off a parking ramp - third story ! Told 'em I'd sell it to them, but they whined that they were doing me such a favor and it was an insult that I should want money up front.

Oh yeah- now they've asked me to just leave them the guns for additional scenes after we're done- deposit will DEFINITELY be full replacement costs!

Sitting here waiting for their crew, at least I've got cell service...
