7 Gr Redot and the soup can worked pretty good in my 336 an inch or less at 50 and about 1 1/2" at a 100, then one day I was casting and the little two cavity started acting up so I decided to modify it via Jumptraps methods, you know, big vise, 12 pound sledge, it didn't help the mold at all but I sure felt better. Good luck

I use the above load in my Winchester 94. Works fine and drops the pressure and velocity to a reasonable level. Red Dot pressures go up quickly and exponentially as you add powder to the load. Start with 5gr and build up.

...............I've used Red Dot in the 30-30, 7.65 Argie, and 35 Rem with the Lyman 311410, 130gr, Lee C309113F, Lee 35-148WC and the Ly 358156 in their respective cartridges. Great for light clean loads.

Also used it in the 45-70 with paper patched 255 Keith SWC's. I think it was 8.0grs in that application. Recoil was non-existant but the slug was certainly traveling when it left the scene!
