Looking for information on SAECO-LUBE B.
Have a few old boxes of hollow sticks. Wondering about how well it worked, type of cast bullets used on, etc.

Thanks!

I buy all the "old" style lube I can get my hands on. Javelina, Mirror Lube, and Saeco Lube B. I have used the Saeco Lube B with larger caliber Boolits, 38/55 and 45/70. Target loads only, at 100 yds, no problems. Using a softer alloy ,1/30, and a compressed load of either the Holy Black or Goex Clear shot. Also using Green Dot in the 38/55. No leading and no loss in accuracy.

How well does the Saeco Lube B keep over the years? I bought these new about 1979.
Would it still be good enough to use today?

1979? That's an aged, mature lube! LoL. Most of the SAECO lube B I use is from circa 1970. As long as the lube is not dried out (easily repairable) or separating (surrounding wrapper is oily), I use it. You can remelt this lube and add to it if necessary. I shop at small gunshops that usually have small amounts lying about that they can't sell and I try to get a package deal, just to clear his inventory. Great for large bore projectiles.
