Picked this up today. Original 74 Sharps business rifle. 32 inch #5 barrel made by Charles Rath in 50-70. Now to find cases and dies.

Looks like a beauty and I hope it shoots good for you. I have a C sharps 1874 hunters carbine with a 26 inch barrel and it shoots really well with starline brass loaded with 65 gr FFG Schutzen and a 450 gr Lyman bullet with a .030 vegitable fiber wad under the bullet. I used that rifle to kill a couple of wild pigs last year.

Wow man, beautiful piece. ;) If you don't already know, I have good luck getting components for the slightly odd calibers at Track of the Wolf. ;)

Make sure of the barrel markings for the cartridge, and it probably would be a good idea to do a chamber cast.
