303, What kinda scope mount is that? And on what? Looks lots better than some of the stuff I did as a teenager but seems somehow familiar. LOL, Best, 10 ga

Looks like it might be a weaver?

It's an A-Square Mosin mount I got cheap as stock clearance. What's under it is a glued on adaptor. I didn't have the right material to give it a decent curve fit so I packed the edges with epoxy to increase width and surface area. If it ever breaks off we'll know the youngster dropped his gun (or stood on it).;-)

I have a glued on scope mount on my 303 Brit pig gun and that's holding up fine.

One day I'll get a round too-it and redo those mountings. But the expoxy method stays.

Still waiting for it. I haven't seen my buddy - he just text me to tell me. He and I are going to hunt the big bore in the forest there. (Not with 22's). Enter my pig gun.

If you are going after a big pig you'd better take a big boar rifle!:kidding:

That was funny! I'm not going to correct my typo. (Mind you, it was funny without my typo).

I got the picture.

It's no bigger than the kids! We went out to suss out the place today and we have a plan to get more. Great walk in the bush. There's a family of pigs which it seems are at least semi wild boars (what we call Captain Cookers - genuine European wild boar cross-breeds).

As can be seen, we have two more kids off the streets. They're so hooked on hunting!

They are great dogs aren't they. This one is clever. She tricked me into a head butt - she planned it and got me! (It's to do with a game I play with her). I knew she was planning something and just had to test her to see what it was. What she did surprized me. There was planning behind it! Quite fun.
