I have been keeping my eye out for various papers for Paper Patching.

My friend got a package and offered me the interesting paper that the shipper had
used as a "batting".

This stuff is 0.003 inch thick, off white, polished and just right for my Patching !
I emailed the sender on the box - maybe they will answer - I doubt it, though.

I have Newsprint (0.004" - unpolished and soft), Tracing paper (0.002" - polished),
Butcher paper (0.004 - heavy, polished, coated) - nothing like in the above photo.

Is anyone reading this familiar with this kind of paper ?

Specifically, what is it called and where can one buy it ?
(I wonder if anyone can tell me ? - there are probably thousands of paper types and
sources in the US alone).

I did some Googling, but it turns out that I don't know the magic words to
use in a search.

Packaging paper turns up wrapping paper and stuff unlike this paper.

What is it ?

Don't know what you'ld call it, but looks like you got purtneart a lifetime supply there, considering you can get 23-25 patches from a single 8.5 by eleven sheet of paper.

I too have seen that paper.....

I need to change my mindset.

Everything I look at should be considered a projectile or part thereof

Hobbies can change your outlook on life.

If you try oil painting - like Bob Ross on Public Television - you can't look at a
mountain or forest without wondering how you would paint it !

I look at paper differently now.

I finger any odd paper I find.
Would it be good for Paper Patching ?
I can tell it's thickness in thousandths of an inch with my fingers now.
Is it polished - does it wet easily - how strong is it......?

Makes one change into a new person !
