i was at work today and saw the cashier she had some of that stuff you put on your finger to make slick so you can open plastic bags, i tried some out and it made me think, could you use it for a lube ingredent?

nice idea but i heard if something was too slick it would create verticle stringing. no known knowlege about this though but its what i heard

in low percentages slick works fine.
castor oil in felix's lube is about 1 tsp per 1/2 lb of wax.

lolz look at a can of imperial sizing wax .... that stuff is super slick !!! i've seen the lil pots that are used on various places ( like banks post offices and regular offices ) where they handle alot of paper , the stuff i touched left a tacky feeling that wasnt IMHO very slick but i'm not sure if it was the same stuff you're referring to regarding plastic sacks , i have to agree with the above posters , a lil slick is ok and if too slick one can cut it back a bit or in a worst case scenario use it for flux ( i've ummm done that to a pound or two of attempts and can admit it ... i've also learned alot since then :P )

That 'FINGER STUFF" is made from wax and glycerine.

Glycerine = BAD for smokeless powder lube.
