There's one for sale near here. It's been modified to be California legal (magazine release requires use of a tool). I have no use for such a thing i.e. don't "need" it, but I have always admired the Isreali Galil and this 'Golani' is a knock-off. It's in 5.56 and appears to take Galil magazines, not the same as AR mags. I need it like a hole in the head but keep thinking about it. It has a military surplus folding stock, other surplus parts but an American made receiver. The sights are much better than an AK with a folding leaf peep on the back of the gun, like an AR. Help me out, tell me it's a piece of junk.
