I looked at the drawing of the chambers of these. They are 7.62X51 with a long tapered throat. They were build for a mini-gun.
They are long enough to cut off the present chamber and make something else out of them.

But they are also short chambered. So something exotic like 30-06 will work.
Or cut part of the breach end to get a clean 308.
Or a ....
Think I have a set of 30-338 dies. Definatly overbore in 22"

They are about .150" short for the 7.62 NATO chamber. Keep in mind there is a difference between the 7.62 NATO and the .308 WCF chambers.

Not much and it is a tapered case so I can shorten it a bit and get a nice tight 308 chamber.
Or 30-06 or ...

Look fine, look like first rate commercial stuff after I Cerakote them...of course ;)
As for shooting, we're working on loads. But they're more than adequate for a 9yr old to kill his 1st buck this past season!

What is the outside diameter of the barrels? Are they capable of being threaded for Small Ring or Large Mausers?
Never mind, I see they are rated at 1.25" in O.D.

[smilie=b:Awright, first I see bearcove is making contender barrels and I start thinking .30 BR, and then dsmjon has the gall to pipe up and I start thinking about how to worm in on getting a 300 AAC AR barrel made. You's guy's are killing me, I gotta stop looking at these threads!

I just had MGM turn down my order for a 30 BR ENCORE barrel. Now I am back to square one, looking for a 1-15,16,17 or 18 twist barrel to have SOMEONE chamber and put the lug on......

Don't worry I need more tools before I can make one for me, much less sell them.
Next year maybe?

Does anyone know what the bore dimensions are? Standard .300/.308 or .300/.309 like the 11" twist, 25" long 7.62X51-BLANK?
I'm putting together two 30BR rifles that need 20" .30 cal barrels but I probably wouldn't waste my time profiling these if they are a .309 bore. Cast bullets with the right throat would probably be fine in a 309 but I don't think they would have great accuracy with jacketed bullets. My reamer has a .3085 throat.

IIRC, they are .308. Will verify when I get home from the beach this afternoon/tonight/tomorrow...
FWIW, I have shot .309-.311 Bullits (cast for my microgrove Marlin 30/30), and they work fantastic...side from seating shallow....

What is this about a chamber with a long tapered throat? Something different from the normal .308 chamber?
Never mind, I managed to look it up. Thank you AlGore, for my Internet!
Bought two. They do look nice. Will look even nicer on my VZ24.
