I came across this one through eBay and had to have it. It's obviously RCBS blocks, and they are completely unmarked. They throw a pair of 7mm bullets, with one being lighter than the other. The bullet design (a plainbase FN) is the sort of unimaginative design I'm used to seeing from RCBS, but it doesn't show up on their catalog or even in their Special Order list. I'm guessing someone just bought a set of blocks and had this made up but it sure looks like an RCBS design. Or did RCBS ever offer mixed-weight blocks at some point?

That is a rarity. At one time RCBS sold blank blocks and maybe they still do. That one does look professionally done though. You got a goodie there./beagle

Looks like the old 7mm-168-SP just cut short to me. The 7mm-168-SP old style is on the right in the pic below. The left is the 30-180-SP old style.

RCBS did make custom molds years ago but all of the molds I have seen were marked by RCBS as an "S" mold.

that is the same cherry just backed out for the lighter one.
could have been backed out for the long one too, just enough to be a flatpoint.

Yeah, it looks that way to me too...but my question is, when did RCBS start offering to do things like that? DO they still?

not sure if they did or still do.
cutting a cherry is easy enough and they do sell blank mold blocks.
having the proper vise and something to turn the cherry true is the hard part.
