Sizing die question

I have a Lyman sizing die that is .4015 ,can I open it up to say .4025 without CR leaking all over the place?:groner:

I think it will leak some, how much will depend on weather you heat your lube or not.

Lube temperature and pressure will be your friends or enemies. The more of each you apply, the more seepage you will get. Like most things related to boolit casting and shooting, it's a matter of experimentation and balancing.

Lapping a sizer die is not a perfect solution. However, I view a boolit of the correct size to be more important than any lube seepage that may occur.

You may get slight seepage but it shouldn't be too bad.

I think it depends more on the boolit diameter as cast, if it's close to sizing dia
then some may seep by.
