Just picked up a new Henry Big Boy a couple of weeks ago, and noticed the top rear of the receiver is drilled and tapped, much like that on my Marlin336. Fact is, both holes are .500" apart on BOTH rifles, dead centerred on the sight line.

Has anyone tried putting a Williams, or similar receiver peep sight from a 336 on a Big Boy? ANY peep sight on a Big Boy?

Peep sights are THE sight for the rifleman. Find one that has the adjustment that you think you will want/need and has the aesthetics you like. Williams, Skinner, Marbles, Lyman are all good and can be had to fit, or be fitted to nealy any action. I adapted a Skinner Low Pro intended for a Marlin 336 to use on a Rossi 92. Coupled with an appropriate front sight, (some prefer a bead, I prefer a post front, and particularly like the XS White Stripe) a peep sight can be quick, accurate, and very dependable.
