WSF 40 cal load

Anybody using WSF for cast Mihec 170grn RNFP.Im thinkin of trying some thing different.Ive tried red dot,#5,unique and looking for a semi soft shooting round and really dont like any max loads.:cbpour:

I have been geting good luck with WST 3.7grn and the Lee 175TC boolit. Very accurate, soft, light recoil and functions well in the Glock22. Feels like a 9mm and has Power factor if 146.

I tried 4.3 of WSF with the Lee 175TC also and it felt harder than the WST load. Since I was almost out of the WST I did not further devlop with it.

I am thinking of trying about 3.5 of bullseye once I get more primers as bullseye meters better for me in the Lee autodisc and I have a bunch of it.

I have also been testing with the Lee 145 SWC boolit and it feeds in my Glock22 with the 3.7WST and is less recoil than the 9mm.

Thanks Gary,I was looking for a powder that a little slower,red dot shoots good and soft at 3.6grns but leads.I also forgot to list power pistol Ive tried(dirty unless full load).WSF is something Id like to try.My XD never liked feeding the 175TC without a REALY short OAL that made me nervous.

I have used over 4 pounds of WSF in the 9mm and it is great for full power loads. For the 40S&W I have read and expect that it will run well in the full power loads. For reduce loads I only tested it once and don't know yet. Since its a slow powder you probally won't run into trouble with it. With bullseye it was easy to go over pressure fast. I am following all the 40 treads best as I can now since I am also trying to devlop loads for it.

G'day.
My current pet load for a G35 is Lee 175TC over 5.4gr WSF.
This gives avg vel of 1070.
Major power factor load.

Another good load is 6.0gr Power Pistol with the same boolit.

Couple hours work tonight. 4.5 WSF 180 2alpha use to shoot 5.2 when major was 175 in USPSA. That would run 1000 FPS out of a G24 6.2 in barrel. 4.5 doesn't make 900. Very soft to shoot .
