Just got my Rifleman mag. today An article in it is about the new production of K98 Mauser`s by Mitchell`s Mausers. At a cost of $699 for the NRA engraved stock and otherwise looking like an K98 edition, that is making my old WW 2 models look pretty good right now.Robert

I read that article also. I think the old Mausers look better than the new one. I wonder if these are the same manufacturer that Remington was selling?

The street price may be lower once they get in the supply chain so the price might be comporable to other bolt guns.

But,,,, I wonder about the possibility of being able to purchase a new, correct contour barrel for your basic sewer pipe large ring.

I can't help but think that *anyone* making "old" new stock has to be a good thing.

IMHO there is no way the market will bear more than 5 bills, but,,,
