Headlamps and big lights

Ok gang here we go. This buy will close the 2nd week of February and will ship at the end or march / beginning of April.

Headlamp:

This one is a neat light. It is a copy of a zerbra-light that runs on a single AA and has a really nice UI. It has a ramping switch so you can push the button and turn it on or push and hold the button and it will slowly go from full bright to full dim and allow you to set the mode to the level you want. This gives you infinite brightness control for whatever application you wish. The base is magnetic so it can be affixed to metal objects when wearing it as a headlamp isnt practical.

The downside to this arrangement is the switch is electronic so it does have some parasitic discharge. By unscrewing the tailcap, the switch is disconnected and it prevents premature discharge of the battery. When the tailcapped is tightened, the light will blink when contact is made and the switch is activated.

This is not a design for those who want a long distance light, but for those that want a light that makes it easy to work in tight spaces or read without a hotspot washing out the text.

Price point is $35 + shipping. I can fit several in a small flat rate box at $5.

Big light:
3 Xml-T6 emitters. Can be used as a 2 or 3 cell light to save space or extend battery life. 5 mode driver gives a high near 2400 lumen, a mid at 800+, a low at 140, fast strobe, and SOS modes. (Sorry to those who prefer not to have the flash modes, price tags on drivers made it prohibitive to remove them).

With 3 18650 cells, the light is just under a foot long. With 2 cells it is just under 9 inches long.

This light is easily the best heatsinked of those I tested. I was able to run it for over 30 minutes on high (realistically) and indefinitely on the medium setting without overheating the LEDs or drivers. The 800 lumen medium setting will last well over 2 hours while the high was still going strong at 40 minutes on 3 cells.

This one will run $125 with 6 batteries and a 4 cell charger. Shipping on this one will run $11 as it will not fit in anything smaller than a medium flat rate box.

I have not been involved in a light buy before. Monies are collected for NOE molds when the buy is closed. Meha collects monies when the molds are ready to ship. When do you collect monies for a buy?

Not to change the subject, but, +1 on the above quote, in fact, I showed those lights around and I have 2 guy's wanting 5 ea. So "YES" there is interest on the originals.
And, I would like to thank you for this, or these, opportunities for flashlights that otherwise would be non existant.

Yes they are safe to use immediately after charging.

Probably the biggest caveat is don't leave them running on high for more than about 15 minutes at most as the heat gets pretty severe.

Had one report of a broken lens tonight. Check them and if scratched or cracked let me know immediately and I will dispatch replacements. I use a lens that has better light transmission than most, but they are not super durable so with packing 80 boxes I'm bound to have missed one or two.

I will happily replace any lens that doesnt make it intact on my dime, just let me know.

Hi Wiljen, just got mine today and they look great. The AA light is really compact and powerful - perfect for carrying around. I'm just waiting for the batteries to charge on the big one though.

Quick question about the charger, do you have to always charge 4 batteries, or is it ok to charge 2 or 3?

Very nice light. Used it tonight to thwart two backporch intruders. They wore masks and were after my daughters expensive catfood. They took off after they recovered from the light blast. I could count every hair on them. Works as advertised.:-)

On the chargers, they are slow chargers to preserve the cells so depending on depth of discharge 8-10 hours is not unexpected.

There should be a jack for a cigarette lighter adapter on the side of the charger.

This adapter will fit and allow you to use it in the car.

My wife said the light hurts her eyes. Was testing the strobe and SOS. After the hunting light another round of these would probably go well. Great light and awesome service as usual.

I love the big light. Tonight I tried it as a two cell, it was easier to handle and still superbright.
The AA light I also received was an excellent value. Hard to believe such brightness from such a small package. Now all the stray cats, foxes, skunks and racoons that annoy my Doberman will have nowhere to hide. Thank you for providng such quality, powerful lighting!
