We received an order from one of the forum members for a 6 cavity H&G sprue plate that we make and sell. When he received it, it turns out the holes didn't line up with the cavities. They were spaced correctly but offset by approximately 3/16". We are setting up to make him one to fit his mold and some extras in case there are other molds out there that have the same discrepancy. I was wondering if anyone had any insight into what is going on here. It is an H&G mold from San Diego (pre 1954). Did H&G change the cavity location on their 6 cavity molds at some point?
