Anyone shoot the long range shaver designed muzzleloader bullet in a cartridge?Seems to shoot prety good out to 1000 yds for him in a muzzleloader. Think he shot a .460/575gr of 20:1 with up to 105gr 1 1/2 swiss.

Why?

I have seen diesel in a gas car and gas in a diesel car, neither worked great.

If it casts a large enough boolit, don't see why it wouldn't work. I don't have the mold nor a rifle chambered for a longish cartridge but it is still interesting.

Kokomo,

Are you talking about the bore diameter grease groove bullet he uses in the British Long range Muzzle Loader for a cartridge rifle?

If so, yes. Works well! My bullet is from a Steve Brooks mould.

No.

Bore diameter, as in Muzzle loader bullets. I do not do it in a regular match, simply have tried my LR-ML (long range muzzle loader 1000yd rifle) bullets in some of my cartridge rifles. They work fine.

If I have time later in the week I can post a picture of a few ML bullets and describe how to load and shoot them.

However, there is no advantage to doing so if you have a longrange cartridge rifle and it is set up and working. The only way I would do it is if I only had a 45-70 and a LR-ML bullet mould and nothing else in the way of moulds for LR.
Then it would be fine.
