The wife hinted no new guns for a while but Was at the local Gander Mountain and cruised the used rifle rack. Low and behold there sat a Ruger MKII LH with a rusty barrel,trigger guard,action and rings. Know the good in the rings is a Burris 6x no scratches the stock has no scratches and I think the rust will polish out for refinishing! For a while I have been thinking of a 35Whelen or a 9.3x62. What to make? Will shoot nothing but cast and it's main use Mi whitetails. Clint

You could always hide it in the back of the safe, then pull it out in a few months. When she asks about it, just say "I've had this for a while, it's just been sitting in the back of the safe". :)

As I explained to an apprentice at work once, one of the reasons he needed to get a safe is that those guns procreate whilst in there.

I had a friend of mine who tried the old safe trick. He had bought one of those Weatherby Orion sporting clays shot guns that he just had to have. Everything went good until she decided to actually look at the CC bill. Man was she pissed. Not a good plan for him. Mike
