I have a heater for my Lyman 450. I haven't started using it yet as I have one more stick of soft lube left. Anyone have experience with this? Bad or good.? Any tips on its use?

I've had one mounted to loading bench for over 20 years the only time I use it is when I use the LMA II that has the Carnuba Red lube in it as it requires a little heat to flow good.
I plug it in about 15 min. before I start sizing/lubing, it has no temp control but doesn't get that hot, I size/lube for about 30-45 min. then unplug the heater the luber stays warm enough to use for another hour or so before needing to be plugged in again.

My man cave in an add on room on the back of my house so stays at around 72° year round.
If your size/lubing room is elsewhere you may need to leave the heater plugged longer.

I do pretty much the same. Mine is in the basement @ about 68 degrees in the winter when I do most of my sizing & lubing. I have it plugged into a switched outlet so I just throw the switch to shut it down.
