From what I have seen of the M1 Carbines in use by the Korean forces, they're not worth shipping back and that was in 1981. By now, they've probably been scrapped.

As much as I like "beans", I'll never be without one and owned up to seven at one time but those Korean models are not worth messing with unless they're rebarrelled and reworked.

Same with the ones in Honduras./beagle

Well, poop. Maybe once I get a LOT more gunsmithing experience, I'd be tempted to get a Garand reciever and mount a new barrel to it but that is a loooong way off.
