What is your opinion about this piece of equipment?
I bought the RCBS digital scale about 15 years ago. Never did use it much but I had it if I wanted to use it. About ten years ago I bought the associated RCBS Powdermaster Dispenser to go along with it.
Since new I have probably loaded less than 200 rounds of rifle using the RCBS powdermaster. Most time I just used ball powder and thrown powder charges.
I got the powdermaster out today and tried to use it. After about four hours of frustration I finally gave up and will call RCBS tomorrow.
When trying to calibrate the dispenser, it dispenses powder at a very slow rate. It takes almost an hour to calibrate. After calibration and after entering your powder charge it will dispense some fractional part of the load and stop. I was trying to dispense 43.0 gr of WW748. It would quit at about 10 grains. I discovered that if you blocked the IR it would continue to dispense when you unblocked the IR but it would never dispense the entered value.
Any thoughts?
