It is 1/2"-27 TPI

Dragonrider, Unless I'm mistaken (been known to happen) I believe it's actually 1/2-28.

If IIRC Lathesmith told me it was a 27 but he would be the man to ask as that is his game.

I just pulled the old thread guage out of my Unimat box and the #27 blade was a perfect fit in the threads of the Star top punch.
