Why do so many people not like it in this caliber? I tried a bunch in my P-226 and Hi-Power last weekend and both (especially the Hi-Power) LOVED it. Much more accurate than the Super field loads I was testing it against. I don't remember the load offhand but it was a midrange one. I am going to decrease the charge a half a grain and retest. If that still shoots and functions well I am gonna roll out several thousand on the Dillon.

Beats me. It is what powers my 9mm self defense loads. I have recently loaded up 800 rounds as I was running low. It is a little over "book" and gives 1300 with 125gr bullets out of my G19.

How many grains of Blue Dot are you using? I have plenty on hand, and wouldn't be adverse to trying some myself in 9mm.

The newer Alliant Blue Dot is not as friendly when you get to top end loads. It also has changed enough I had to reduce my light cast loads in rifles. It can develop high pressure very quickly.
It does give good accuracy and is clean burning in the right pressure range.

Also if you run across some of the load data from Calhoon or others that use it for light bullet loads at high velocities in small rifle cartridges stop and think about what you are about to do.

Never used it in a 9MM but liked it in a 38 Super I had.

I used a Saeco RN bullet with 6.5 grains of Blue Dot Sized at .357 which shot a little better than .358. Gonna drop it to 6.0.

I likie it in 9mm with 115 to 125 gr bullets and in the 10mm with sub-180 grain bullets.
