I have strong mounts on my Dillon machines and all is fine.

I need one for my Rock Chucker but I don't need it as high as the Dillon model.

Anyone made a less higher mount or know someone that does ?

I saw a web site within the last couple weeks where a guy makes custom mounts. Check Ebay and do a Google search.

I raised my RC to the proper height with a couple pieces of 3" steel channel iron about 8" long, got it from a local welding shop for not much. Pick a width to match what you need and go. Set a piece on edge on each side of the press, drilled and tapped the press mounting holes and used all thread in the bottom flange to attach them to the bench top and the under frame 2x4s.

i made my own for a 550B out of 3/16 plate. I've got some smaller plate on hand. Send me a PM with the details about what you want.

Fine work indeed. I wish I had that talent.

There's a guy selling a Dillon strong mount copy on Ebay. Search "Dillon strong" in reloading equipment. Maybe he can make you what you want.

Now if Pat Marlins docking station is rock solid , it installed on top of that mount would allow
one to use multiple presses and have a great situation.

OK folks, I built 3 mounts today, nothing like the one above, it is even more solid!
Smaller footprint too. When the paint dries I'll get some photos up.

Hi Jim

The above is a 3Ddrawing. The mount is currently in pre the production testing phase. I have a prototype in my shop bolted to a bench for testing before giving the go-ahead to the laser guy.

Lasers, CNC plasma, seriously jealous of new, unaffordable to me, technology.
But I got lots of time on my hands. Something to do :)

That looks like a really nice mount, as do the other goodies on your site

Just talked with this guy. They will be on the market very soon. He will also have plates for all the popular presses. They are much stronger than Dillon Strong mount and are powder coated. Price isn't set yet but, he is looking at $75 delivered. I'm in for two!:D

I hope that reinforcing plate in the middle doesn't get in the way of the lower ram assemblies. Personally I would prefer the mount without it, I like to store stuff there under my press. Maybe a 1" wide strip of metal near the back corners of the mount. It would work just as well to space the legs, and once it is bolted down I don't think it really strengthens anything anyway. I liked the Diamond Plate mount better!

Lasers are cool. Lasers that cut steel are even cooler!

Thank you for the compliment.

Good question.

It is out of the way of the lower press linkages and isn't a reinforcing plate. It is just a tray to store miscellaneous reloading loot. It doesn't attach and has zero structural influence. :-P
