Hi what overall length do you set with this bullet

Totally subjective question.

Remove the barrel from your gun and use the chamber as a case gauge, then make some "dummy" rounds with no powder or primer and check cycling through the gun manually. Adjust if necessary, load some live ones and go shoot them.

^^THIS^^^ OAL is ALWAYS gun & bullet specific. What works in my XD may not work in your 1911, etc. Fit the bullet to your chamber & mag. I load a sim bullet in a modfied Lyman mold @ 1.250", but that works for me.

+1 on what gear said. I can load that boolit for my Colt Series 80 so the forward drive band is 1/16 inch above the case mouth, but they won't chamber in my buddy's P90. His gun need half that amount of driveband exposed.

Using the barrel as a gauge, you want the round to fall into the chamber under its own weight and be stopped by the case's mouth. It will "plunk" and you won't be able to push it in further.

thanks all 45 cap guns is first now been legal to own this year here in Denmark .so its all new for us

i don't know,or even have written down [had to go look in the notebook] the oal of any cast boolits.
i do have the measurement to the ogive of my target jaxketed rounds though.
