I was wondering if there is anyone that can recut a bullet mould (lyman) to a larger bullet design? at a fair price, funds are low.

I guess your going to have to explain "cut to a larger design".

If you mean re-cut the driving bands to enlarge the as cast diameter, yes simple thing to do. Erik at Hollow Point Mold is an expert at this, I have had him do several molds for me. He is also very reasonably priced.

Guess what I wanted to say is take a mould of say 357cal and recut the cavity to a 45cal mould?

I would think it would be cheaper to look for a trade from someone here on the boards -
What 45 cal mold are you looking for?

Buy a 45 mold and sell/trade your 357 one.

I am trying to do a trade for a lyman 462560, I have a lyman dbl cavity 37583 to trade that is in very good condition.

In the past I had NEI run larger cherries into their molds. I wonder if they will recut a Lyman mold.

If funds are low, the last thing to do is try for custom machining, it is never cheap.

Sell your current one and b uy an existing mold, or see if you can work a trade.

Not a lot of people use a 375 and the odds of one of them having a spare 462560 may not be good. You might get lucky, but your odds would really improve if you just sell the 375 in the swappin forum and buy the 45 mold. It is not a common mold but you will have a lot better odds to find one for sale than to find someone that wants to trade for a 375 caliber mold.
