Any data available on loading commonly available .35 caliber cartridges with black?

Like what cartridge? I shoot my 357 mag and max rifles with black a lot. Oh, and 38 specials too.

I think you could shoot a 357 max with BP in a bpcr match and call it a 35/30 maynard or 38 ballard x long and no one would argue the cal. Most data on .35 would be found on the net.

.35 Remington, .358 Winchester, .35 Whelen, .358 Remington Mag are the most popular.

Who needs data? Fill it up and seat the boolit. Maybe add a grease wad.

Agree with uscra112 about fill it with 1.5F to 3F and add a .030 wad. Hard part is finding good bullets to fit your gun, may need from .358 to .360 dia and length to match your twist. I shoot a 330gr postell but have a 1/10 twist. there is a mould buy in progress for a copy of the lyman 358009.

Kokomo,

What cartridge do you shoot that 330 grain .35 caliber boolit with?

I've got a .35 Whelen with a 14" twist and a 280 grain paper-patched boolit I may try launching with BP. It'd be a .35-65 Whelen.

I shoot it in a 35/40 maynard chamber ( 38/55 fire formed brass ) Have a 10:1 twist krieger bbl on a rolling block about 11# gun and with 46-48 gr 1.5 swiss.
