I'm having difficulty finding a load for my 9 mill. The bullet is a Lee 356-120-TC,and I have some Accurate#2 that I want to finish up. Anybody got any idea's? Accurate's web site does't show anything in this combination either.

I use the bullet but not the powder. I load them over 3.7 gr of Bullseye for my CZ75. Shoots great and is a nice comfortable practice load. Not much help I guess.

My favorite powder for 9mm is HS-6.

I use that same boolit in my 9mms and have only used Red Dot and 4.8 gr for my load. It functions my High Power, Glock and Taurus pistols without a hitch and is as accurate as I am with a handgun.

Taylor--Load data for #2 from accurate arms for:
125 lead rn:
Start 4.1--935 fps Max 4.5 1063 fps--30,100 c.u.p.

For a 115 lead swc
Start 4.4 1008 fps Max 4.9 1146 fps 32900 c.u.p.

That should get you in the ballpark. Nick

I tried alot of aa2 (pr200) in my 9mm trojan and never got the accuracy with it that i get with bullseye. Thats ok im saving the pr200 for my 45s.

Thanks guys,I really appreciate the help. After doing some more digging around,I had decided to use a start of 4.0. Glad someone else had the same thoughts. With a 115 FMJ at 4.0 I know that the gun will not cycle.First time I ever saw a single shot Sig P226,but I worked it out. I only have enough powder for a couple of boxes anyway.(no more FMJ's,all gone). That and I want to play with this bullet before trying other powders.

Taylor--

My P-226 and P-228 REALLY like the 120-125 grain TC designs--Lee and NEI are my current critters. Most of these get run with WW-231 or Unique, but I see no reason that AA-2 shouldn't work. Just make sure the boolits are fat enough for the throat, both of my pistols are close to .357" at the ballseat.

I haven't had a 9mm that didn't loveeeeeeeeee 4Gns 231 behind 120-125 Gn Boolits. I got the load off a Winchester brochure. They list a slightly softer one that works ok too, but I can't rememeber it (3.4Gns? Don't quote me on that one). The 4Gns works so well, I don't bother with anything else.

Ive shot enough aa2 in my 9 to know that at 4 grains your flirting with bullets (even cast) sticking in the barrel and in my 1911 9mm i had to run a 8 lbs spring and return to battery wasnt reliable with that light of spring. Id at least bump that up to 4.3 and probably 4.5 if your using jacketed bullets. Now thats my experience with pr200 which is suppose to be aa2

Thanks Lloyd, the 115 FMJ worked well with 4.2 of AA#2,but as I said there is no more store bought, actually I was given the AA#2 and 115's.So why not shoot it?Now that the 115's are gone and the AA#2 is down to the bottom,we just got to find something esle to play with.As far as not returning to battery,my Springfield 1911/45 has given me that problem, which I haven't been able to work out yet. But I'll get back on it here "most tick".
