Really too late to ask now, because i just ordered a double cavity. But is this bullet any good - accuracy wise ? This is my first experience with a tumble lube bullet.
Thanks, Dennis

My S&W 29 just loves them. I shoot more of them than any other in 44 mag.

I use that same boolit in my Charter Arms bulldog and my Rossi 92 carbine. They work fine for me.

I've had great results with that boolit in all my 44 mags, both rifle and pistol.

I use them in my Ruger BH.

I really like them.

I load them to about 1000 fps for my Ruger Super Redhawk. Clean, accurate, light loads and lots of fun. In that big heavy gun it's scarcely any recoil.

Just tried them out in an old CA Bulldog and a 3" S&W 29 and they seem to work just fine.

Dittos here. And what could be simpler? Cast, tumble, and load when dry.

I had never used tumble lube boolits until I got RANCH DOG TLC 432 265 for my MARLIN Cowboy rifles in 44 magnum. I really like that boolit...good in the rifles, even better in assorted RUGER revolvers....it also removed residual lead from the bore. Another six rounds beats the h*** out of a cleaning rod and CHORE BOY! I like the RANCH DOG so much that I got the NOE lube groove version...and I tumble lube it. The NOE is plain base because I don't need gas checks for my pistol loads 99% of the time.

You might want to check the chamber throats in your Model 29, as well as the barrel dimensions. Get a sizer close to the throat diameters....check various threads on opinions on same size or larger. RANCH DOG has .432 in stock and that's the diameter I use on my boolits for the most part...I'm casting/loading for 20 different revolvers and rifles...I have a bunch of step-kids and grand kids who liked my 44s and then bought their own. Can you say GENERIC?

I started casting boolits with the Lee T/L .44, about 10 years ago. I've put thousands through my Ruger, Dan Wesson, S&W 629 and a few through my 10" Contender. I haven't tried them in my Mod. 92 Puma as normally SWC won't feed in it. But all in all this seems to be a pretty versatile bullet. I've used thinned alox, 45-45-10, and even pan lubed with normal wax based lubes, and most worked...

As with all cast bullets, it's best to know the cylinder throat and groove diameter dimensions. Measure your finished boolits and you may not need to size them (.430"-.432", load and shoot).
