Marlin M-336 disassembly

Howdy !

Can anyone point me in the right direction......

I am looking for sequence of operations ( steps ) that need to be performed;
in-order to access the trigger/hammer group of my M-336 XLR ?

Howdy , again !


I did look @ the Marlin site, as suggested.
It only featured simple lever, bolt; and ejector removal instructions. No help.

I'm wanting to access the hammer spring, hammer, trigger sear; etc
to check on condition of the internals; and whether anything is broken.

Where can I find step-by-step, correct sequence instructions for accessing the
M-336's internal action parts ??

The stock has to come off and then the hammer spring is pretty obvious I haven't pulled the trigger out might be able to see once you strip it if it is dirty or broken also the top sticky on stripping a 1894 is very close to a 336 and some if the links are pretty good in that tread also

They can be bought for about 10 bucks plus shipping from one of the net bookstores. I might scan mine into a thread sometime as this question comes up often enough that it might be helpful. Keyword: centerfire assembly author: JB Wood. I have several of Mr. Woods assemb/reassemb guides and they are worth their weight in gold to me.

This isoneofrhe easiest guns to take apart and put back together. I did it with no instructions and no problems. I can do it now in about 15 minutes.

357Mag, I used this to replace the trigger safety block spring in my 336 about a week ago. It's an exploded view with a step by step instruction for complete disassembly. Worked for me, you reassemble in reverse order.

www.leverguns.com Is the best source for instructions and help.

Go to the "Marlin Resources" tab on the right side of the home page. There is complete dissassembly instructions there.

There is also simple things you can do to make your gun operate much smoother.

So while you've got it apart you might just as well deburr some of the parts per the instructions, and make the gun operate much better.

It's alot faster and easier than shooting it to wear it in.
