Anyone ever use one of these in 357 Mag? I am thinking of getting one rebarreled in this caliber.

I posted last night my same thoughts on this. I'll probably send the frame in for the rebarrel shortly myself.

I think it would make a good coyote gun at 100 yards.

I had one and it was great. Very accurate. I went and reamed it out to a .357 max and I'm still tinkering around to find "the load". Need to do a lot more work with it to make comments about the wisdom of what I've done. So far it's very promising and I have great expectations. Would like to have another .357 mag as they are so good.

Mine is a nail driver with 180 "J"bullets, but I'm in search for a cast boolit for the long run.

yep, reaming it out to 357max is a good thing! My friend has one, it's a shooter for sure! I keep threatening to get one and do it, but haven't yet.

I've "Maxed" my Contender, but with the dearth of Max brass, it might be wise to keep it in .357 Mag. for a while. In a rifle-length barrel on a strong action, the Mag can reach the magic 1000 foot-lbs. pretty easily using modern powders. You are not so limited in OAL in a single-shot, so there's more powder space to be had than if one were loading for a revolver.
