The brass rod on the holster is an antique hinge pin that is used to push the cartridges out of the cylinder if they don't simply fall out.

One shot on a 300 pound black bear....Right between the eyes at 83 yards (but with a Contender in "30 Something".....I just thought this was a neat picture!)

Neat looking pistolaros, bet the black bear never saw it coming.

I have the gated Kirst on my Remmy. Pretty tight chambers and the empties did not want to just fall out with gravity, so installed the Richards Mason ejector Kirst sells. Perhaps not kosher on a Remmy, but works great,

The ejector will not work on these cylinders as they need to be fully removed to unload.
