Anyone tried this bullet with a 20 gauge slug gun? at $17.50 its a lot cheaper than the lyman 350 grain sabot.

im planning on loading them with 4227 in 3 inch cheddite hulls and remington RXP20 wads, or waa12 wads.

these will be shot in a mossberg 500, 26 inch barrel, with an extended rifled choke tube and williams slugger iron/ fiber optic sights clamped on the vent rib

i also planned on trying to load them with 2400 in my active 2 3/4 inch hulls with fed 209a primers, and the same wads,

any thoughts?

waiting on my rifled choke tube to come in. so far ive loaded them in winchester AA cases, PC yellow wads, cheddite primers and 20.0 grains of 4756. the load shoots good but the bullet holes are oblong. getting a little yaw but out of a cylinder bore smooth bore, i expected full throttle tumbling.

this could be the bullet to shoot.

recovered wads still have all their petals intact and have minimial distortion from firing.
with the rifled choke, ill increase the load to 22.5 grains and if all goes well, again to 25.0
